Eyal Shochat

Senior adjunct lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences at Ben-Gurion University.

Active ornithologist since 1978 (License A). Has a Ph.D in poultry ecology, a postdoc in urban ecology and a postdoctoral research on the effects of controlled fires and pastures on poultry. An adjunct researcher at the Arizona State University. Has published dozens of articles in scientific journals. Member of the editorial team of Urban Ecosystems and the Committee for Judging Rare Bird Observations in Israel.

מתמקד בחקר השפעות אנתרופוגניות (אורבניזציה, חקלאות, ייעור, מרעה, ושריפות מבוקרות) על חברות ואוכלוסיות עופות ופרוקי רגליים באיזורים מדבריים וים תיכוניים (ישראל, אריזונה, ואוקלהומה).
