Prof. Uriel Safriel

Professor Uriel Safriel is a Professor Emeritus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof. Safriel is an ecologist that has been the Director of the Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research at Ben-Gurion University, Chief Scientist of the Israeli Nature Reserves Authority, Chair of the Committee of Science and Technology and Co-Chair of the Science-Policy Interface of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, Co-Chaired Israel National Ecosystem Assessment, and currently chairs the Israel National Man and Biosphere Committee.
